Cars make noise—cars are fast—cars look cool—cars, cars, cars!
When my 14 year old step-son, “B”, arrived for the summer, I thought I had my curriculum pretty well planned out. Needless to say, he wasn’t thrilled with the subject he chose to study this summer—math. I sat him down and asked him to give me a topic he is interested in and would like to know more about. The answer was a resounding CARS! As I am a virtual-momma, I took to the keyboard in search of some field trips we could take.
Here is the list of museums that we explored:
The Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart-Untertrkheim, Germany offers a fabulous virtual tour . We enjoyed seeing antique cars, race cars, and world-record cars.
Ken and Joan Austin’s Car Collection offers a 360* tour of their antique car collection. You can even click on the cars to sit in them!
The Microcar Museum offers a look at some of the most beautiful microcars this momma has ever seen!
Phil Seed’s Virtual Car Museum “contains over 430 pages of scans of brochures of various makes and models of cars (1950 – 1980), photographs and a variety of automobilia.”
The Toyota Automobile Museum in Japan offers a virtual tour of their collection of cars from around the world. Each car has a photo and a paragraph about the automobile.

God Bless 🙂
